Tasmainian Blackwood<br />
This magnificent undercut bowl came from a very old tree felled in one of Nelsons historic homes in 1999. Tree had extensive dieback in the crown and when felled showed large areas of decay in the trunk. The dark area you can see underneath is a void where there was a bark inclusion. The whole piece displays some beautiful compression ripple figure and would make a lovely feature piece in any setting. SOLD<br>
